2nd Annual Regenerative Medicine Symposium (ARMS)

On April 15-16th, 2009, the Training Program in Regenerative Medicine (TPRM) will host its 2nd Annual Symposium in Regenerative Medicine in partnership with the Stem Cell Network (SCN).
Regenerative medicine is at the forefront of novel therapeutics to meet the demands of current medical issues.  This area of medicine encompasses many of the latest hot science topics including stem cells, gene therapy and organ engineering.

Come learn about the latest advancements in this area from the students performing the research at the Annual Regenerative Medicine Symposium on April 15th and 16th, 2009.  This symposium will include an exciting keynote lecture from Dr. Samuel Weiss (University of Calgary) who recently won a Gairdner Award for his pioneer work in the area of stroke.  Additionally, there will be a Grant Writing Workshop conducted by CIHR Grant Panel Chairs of Experimental Medicine, Immunology and Transplantation.

This invitation is open to all TPRM members, TPRM trainees, and TPRM alumni, SCN members, and SCN trainees. The TPRM requests that trainees to submit a brief summary on your experience at this training and networking opportunity. Further information about the schedule of events will follow in the coming weeks.
